Abstract :	What is the most current research on the archeology of the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found more than 50 years ago? what more can we learn from the Dead Sea Scrolls? Picking up where Scandinature's 1998 film on the texts of the scrolls, "Voices from the Deasert", left of, "The Haunted Deasert" looks at the science of archeology behind these most famous of manuscripts. We follow in the footsteps of Father Roland de Vaux who, in 1951, organized a team of archeologists at the Qumran caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered four years earlier. De Waux's courageous and imaginative synthesis of what was uncovered is still used as the standard from which all subsequent archeology of the site has based.
